PRINT AND BRING YOUR MATCH CARD TO THE GAME !

MATCH CARD:  This is the official record of what happened at your game! It is a very important document and it is important to pay attention to it.

MATCH CARD PRINTING is available 48 hours prior to each game.  It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to CHECK YOUR MATCH CARD after printing to be certain that your game day roster appears/prints as your are expecting. BEFORE THE GAME is your opportunity to correct any errors/omissions and reprint the match card prior to arriving at the field.

For weekend games, teams should ALWAYS wait until AFTER Friday 12:00 pm (noon) minimum to ensure the system has time to capture any CPP entries, field changes, time changes, or complex changes, etc.  Remember ... BOTH teams are required to print a copy of the match card and take it to the field so please be sure to do this!

If your team added Club Pass players at the last minute prior to the game, be sure to reprint the match card so that those players are properly printed on the match card and don't end up being handwritten. Handwritten players result in an automatic forfeit. It is also advisable to double check with the referee prior to game start to be sure he/she is using the most up to date copy of the match card. (For example: if your opponent printed the match card on Friday afternoon prior to your Sunday game, and you added Club Pass players to your team's game day roster on Saturday, then your opponent's match card will not have your Club Pass players printed on it.) It is the team's responsibility to make sure the most up to date match card is being used.

CHECK THE SCORE AND THE YELLOW/RED CARDS BEFORE SIGNING !!!

At the completion of your game, the referee will ask a representative from each team to sign the match card. By signing the card, this means you agree with what has been recorded on it. This is your team's opportunity to review the card and check that you agree with the score and also that you agree that any red or yellow cards issued were attributed to the correct individual.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MATCH CARD AFTER THE GAME?

Why is this so important?

In ALL SCENARIOS, WDDOA must receive the Original Match Card. Teams must understand that the Original Match Card is the Official Report of what happened on the field during the game - in addition to documenting the score, this Official Game Report documents yellow/red cards administered, adult ejections, club pass players, players serving suspensions, write-in violations, weather delays, signatures, and essentially anything that may have occurred during the game. Scans, copies,  faxes, photos, or any other type of electronic version of the match card are often out of focus, sometimes only partially visible or copied, and usually very difficult to read.

WDDOA reviews every single match card to verify scores, verify misconduct, check for rules violations, etc.

Photo Copies

It is recommended that both teams (usually the Team Manager) take a photocopy of the final signed match card upon completion of the game. This can serve as a backup in the situation where the match card becomes lost or damaged in some way. This photo or electronic copy should be considered a BACKUP in the case the Original Match Card becomes illegible or lost.
