GAME CARDS - WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM AFTER THE GAME HAS BEEN PLAYED?

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WDDOA RECEIVE THE ORIGINAL GAME CARD

What does this mean? How does WDDOA receive them?

  • PRIME Games - for Prime Games the Referee will keep the Original Game Card upon completion of the game and will be responsible for getting the Original Game Card to WDDOA
  • CHALLENGER Games marked with an asterisk (*) - for Challenger games marked with and asterisk (*) on the Schedule (meaning that the WDDOA  Office scheduled the game because the Home Team elected to utilize the Neutral Site Scheduling Model) - the Referee will keep the Original Game Card upon completion of the game and will be responsible for getting the Original Game Card to WDDOA
  • CHALLENGER Games NOT marked with an asterisk - for all Challenger Games not marked with an asterisk on the Schedule (meaning the Home/Away Scheduling Model was selected by the Home Team) - the WINNER of the game, or the HOME TEAM in the case of a tie, is responsible for mailing or delivering the ORIGINAL game card to WDDOA
  • ALPHA Games - for all Alpha Games the WINNER of the game, or the HOME TEAM in the case of a tie, is responsible for mailing or delivering the ORIGINAL game card to WDDOA

Why is this so important?

In ALL SCENARIOS, WDDOA must receive the Original Game Card. Teams must understand that the Original Game Card is the Official Report of what happened on the field during the game - in addition to documenting the score, this Official Game Report documents yellow/red cards administered, adult ejections, club pass players, players serving suspensions, write-in violations, weather delays, signatures, and essentially anything that may have occurred during the game. Scans, copies,  faxes, photos or any other type of electronic version of the game card are often out of focus, sometimes only partially visible or copied, and usually very difficult to read.

As administrators of the league, WDDOA looks at every single game card to verify scores, verify misconduct, check for rules violations, etc.

Photo Copies

It is recommended that both teams (usually the Team Manager) take a photo copy of the final signed game card upon completion of the match. This can serve as a back up in the situation where  the game card becomes lost or damaged in some way. This photo or electronic copy should be considered a BACK UP in the case of the Original Game Card becomes illegible or lost.

Club Pass / Discipline:

Club Pass Player Weekly Deadline:  LIFTED
The ability to add club pass players in the GotSoccer system will remain open.

Club Pass player(s) must be added to your game day roster and printed (from GotSoccer) on the game card in order to be eligible to participate. If a player is not printed on the game card (primary player and/or club pass) they are not eligible to participate. NO HANDWRITTEN PLAYERS ARE ALLOWEDThis is an automatic forfeit, no exceptions regardless of the situation and/or status of the handwritten player.

Game Cards:

Game cards should ALWAYS be printed EVERY Friday after 12:00 pm (noon) to ensure the system has time to capture any CPP entries, field, time, or complex changes, etc.  Remember ... BOTH teams are required to print a copy of the game card and take it to the field so please be sure to do this!
